Amanda (Mandy) Dytor
Vice President and Director, Intake and Operations
Professional Experience:
Amanda is from the UK and has a long career in the healthcare and childcare industries. In 1996 she moved over to the childcare industry and built a team of 20+ employees for a supervised soft play indoor recreational area for children. Part of her responsibilities included organizing large parent and child events for up to 300 people to include the coordination of all event details. Eventually the event venue was repurposed for a full time daycare preschool facility which increased the staff of people she was managing to a team of 30+ team members and 88 children under 5 years old, all in line with Government legislation to provide full time pre-school education.
Dog Experience:
Amanda has always had dogs and could not imagine life without them. A home is not a home without the Dogs! She currently has 3 dogs; her youngest is Willow who is 6.5 years old and was Amanda’s foster failure. Amanda joined GRRA as a volunteer in 2014 and walked with the “Paws on the Path” team when she relocated to the United States from England. Since then, she has participated in many volunteer roles, including as a dog walker of GRRA dogs at Pet Lodge, transporting for the retriever taxi team, interviewing applicants for the AC team, performing home checks for the home check team, fostering for the foster team including special needs puppies and litters of puppies. She has been a member of the intake team for 6 years. She supports the home check team and early in 2023 she built the much needed “Foster To Adopt” team which has gone from strength to strength in a short period of time. She served as the Director of the Intake Team for the years 2018, 2023 and 2024. In 2025, Amanda was elected Vice President and Director of Intake and Operations.
