Robert "David" Boyd
With a broken heart, David passed away on January 15th. After spending a week in the hospital and with a heart function of only 15, the family knew that his time here on earth was short. David returned home under hospice care where he spent his final days surrounded by his wife, his three children and niece Ivy. He was in great spirits and he spent his remaining time "living his wake" by talking with former basketball players, family, and friends.
One of David and Genise's favorite books is "To Dance with the White Dog" by Terry Kay. When you read this book, you will understand why David kept begging for another golden and God sent them Princess Margot Mae.
Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to GRRA in memory of David or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
