Medical Team - Vet Care Coordinator (VCC)

From your home and computer

Time

This position takes around 10-15 hours per week. This is also completely dependent upon the number of dogs the VCC is responsible for, and can vary up to more hours if GRRA has an abundance of fostered dogs at any time. This job is also "time sensitive" in that this position requires the volunteer be available for emergencies or routine questions from our vets and fosters.

Role Description

  • Helps schedule vet appointments for new Intake dogs and/or foster dogs

  • Tracks microchips and all appointments, including neuter/spay procedures

  • Job requires Attention to detail as these duties pertain to the health/medical well-being of our GRRA dogs

  • It is imperative that the VCC be knowledgeable in using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, editing documents, and general computer skills. The VCC also needs to be available to take/answer emails (also calls or text messages) directly from the foster/FTA if they have any questions or concerns and

    communicate effectively with vets’ offices.

  • The VCC needs the ability to be incredibly flexible as things often change at the last minute and VCC should be able to provide a reasonable and timely solution, or seek help from the GRRA Medical Director.
