Meet & Greet

What: Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta showcases our dogs that are ready for adoption at Meet & Greet events. Our beautiful pups do not go home with an adopter from this event. This is considered the first of two required meetings before one of our dogs is adopted.

When: Our next Meet & Greet event will be on our website under "Events". It is usually held once a month. Confirm the date and time a few days before the date of the event to ensure that there are enough "adoptable" dogs scheduled to attend for us to hold this event. It is highly recommended that you pre-register if you plan to attend. We encourage everyone to have already (a) submitted their adoption application to us and (b) had their home check completed PRIOR to this event in order to be considered to adopt one of these dogs.

WANT TO SEE OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN PERSON? COME TO ONE OF OUR MEET & GREET EVENTS.

Where: Inside Delightful Dog Boarding and Training located at 4958 Lower Roswell Road, Suite 124, Marietta, Georgia 30068 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. (no early birds please). Held rain or shine.

What happens: Each adoption applicant is assigned one of our volunteers to escort them to see all of our adoptable dogs. Children must remain with their parents at all times. No personal dogs please. Serious adopters only! We have established guidelines to prevent our dogs from being frightened and for everyone's safety. No sitting on the floor in front of the dog or petting the pup without asking the foster parent first. The dog's foster parent can answer your questions about each dog. After this event, our volunteers get busy to find the best potential adopter for every adoptable dog. A second meeting is then scheduled with the potential adopters who are the best match for each dog.
