Hi, my name is Scarlett. I am a seven-year-old Labrador mix who was so happy to be rescued by GRRA from an animal shelter. When I first came to GRRA I lived with a foster for an extended period. We did great together as I settled in quicky to the home environment. Although it was hard for my foster it was decided that it would be best for me to find a new home due to a frequent and extended travel schedule. While that made me sad, I am looking forward to finding a new forever home. I really love being around my people and happily settle into my crate for down time and naps. Presently I am going to dog school and my teacher is working with me on commands and proper leash walking, apparently there is a correct way to walk on a leash, go figure. I enjoy working with my teacher and was happy to hear that a training package comes with me to my adopter so we will both be able to work with my teacher when I am adopted. They tell me that I am “dog particular” as I like and play with some dogs but others I just don’t like to be around. I can’t wait to find a forever home as I will make a wonderful and devoted companion. I just need a little patience, structure, and consistency in reinforcing my training.
