Meet Whiskey Sparks — A Resilient Ray of Sunshine

A caring Good Samaritan helped Whiskey Sparks find his way to GRRA after he was left alone in a kennel. Somewhere along the line, he was hit by a car and now sports a uniquely shaped front paw. His doctor says the best thing for him is to have the limb removed. Sure, it might slow him down at first, but it won’t keep him from doing what he loves most—making his way straight to you.

Life hasn’t been entirely fair to this boy. In addition to his paw, Whiskey has an eye condition called entropion that will require corrective surgery, and he’s also battling heartworms. During his recovery, he’ll need a calm home with minimal stairs, gentle care, and lots of love.

But here’s the thing—none of that dims Whiskey’s light. He’s pure joy wrapped in fur: friendly, affectionate, and always ready to share one of his signature hugs (complete with a sloppy kiss for good measure). Despite everything he’s endured, this young guy radiates love and optimism.

He may need a little refresher on his basics, but he’s eager to learn—especially with someone cheering him on. Whiskey prefers a cat-free home, and if there’s another dog, he’d do best with a laid-back, easygoing companion.

Car rides? Absolutely. A fenced yard where he can wander at his own pace? That would make his tail thump with happiness.

Whiskey Sparks has already proven he’s a survivor with a heart of gold. Now he just needs someone special to help him shine even brighter. Maybe that someone is you.
