Meet Tiny 🐾

Tiny may have a big name and even bigger paws, but this 8.5-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix is the definition of a gentle giant. He is an incredibly sweet, kind, docile boy who doesn’t ask for much—just a comfortable place to nap, people to love, and plenty of ear scratches.

Tiny loves people. Men, women, kids—he’s never met a stranger, especially if they’re willing to scratch his ears or tell him how handsome he is. He is wonderfully gentle with children and seems to understand just how big he is. And trust us, he hears that he’s handsome a lot! Between his giant paws, adorable spotted legs, and beautiful face, Tiny gets compliments everywhere he goes, and he is more than happy to soak them all in.

Walks are one of Tiny’s favorite things, partly because he enjoys being active and partly because a walk means meeting even more friends. He happily greets people and enjoys saying hello to dogs of all sizes and ages. Inside the home, he can be more selective about his canine roommates, so introductions are important. Tiny was raised with a Chihuahua brother and knows that great friends can come in very small packages.

Tiny also loves car rides and is always happy to hop in for the next adventure. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood or a ride in the car, he simply loves being included with his people.

At home, Tiny is wonderfully easygoing. He is house-trained, quiet, rarely barks, doesn’t make much of a mess, and loves taking naps as long as he knows his people are nearby. He’s perfectly content simply being part of the family. And don’t let his age fool you—at 8.5 years old, Tiny is still active and loves his walks. He’s also very treat-motivated and can sit, shake, and lie down like a pro.

The biggest thing Tiny needs in his forever home is companionship. He loves his people deeply and can become anxious when left alone. His anxiety is currently managed with medication, but his ideal family would be home much of the time or able to limit how long he is by himself. Storms can also make him nervous, and his preferred solution is simple: stay close to his person until everything feels safe again.

Tiny is the kind of dog who makes it incredibly easy to fall in love with him. He doesn’t need a complicated life or endless entertainment. He wants walks, car rides, treats, scratches, naps, and most of all, people to call his own.

At 8.5 years young, Tiny deserves the very best sunset years—a home where his enormous paws can finally settle in, where someone is usually nearby, and where he can spend the rest of his life knowing exactly how loved he is.
