Simba is an incredibly sweet and happy boy whose favorite place is right by his people. He thrives on human companionship and is sure to keep you smiling with his playful personality and zest for life. His absolute favorite toys are tennis balls—he can never have enough of them and will happily play fetch for as long as you're willing to throw!
After playtime, Simba settles down nicely and enjoys curling up in one of his favorite spots around the house. One of his cutest habits is sleeping upside down with all four paws in the air. He loves routine, takes direction well, and is eager to please.
Simba has been enjoying his time in our board-and-train program, where he has worked with more than 10 trainers and become a favorite among the training team. They describe him as a "happy-go-lucky, friendly guy" and a typical Golden boy with a high drive for learning and activity. Simba enjoys having a job to do, staying busy, and learning new things.
He has learned general obedience and has made great progress with some of his previous habits, including counter-surfing and investigating trash cans. His new family will also benefit from lifetime follow-up training sessions to help Simba continue building on everything he has learned.
Simba is looking for an active, adult-only home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely run and play. He will thrive with people who can provide regular physical exercise, mental stimulation, continued training, and clear, consistent leadership. Simba can still be enthusiastic on leash and may pull during walks, so his family should be prepared to continue working with him.
Because of his high prey drive and history with other animals, Simba needs to be the only pet in the home. In return, he'll happily devote himself to his people and soak up all the attention!
