Simba is an incredibly sweet, happy boy whose favorite place is right by his people. He thrives on human companionship and will happily spend his day playing, relaxing, and making you smile. His absolute favorite toys are tennis balls—he can never have enough of them and will play fetch for as long as you're willing to throw!
After playtime, Simba settles down quickly and enjoys curling up in one of his favorite spots around the house. One of his cutest habits is sleeping upside down with all four paws in the air. He's a dog who loves routine, takes direction well, and is eager to please.
Simba enjoys spending time in a securely fenced yard, where he can run, play, and burn off some of his energy. A fenced yard is a must for him.
Like many dogs, Simba has had a few habits to work on, including counter-surfing and investigating trash cans, but he's already made great progress. Simba has completed a board-and-train program, where he learned general obedience, and his new family will benefit from lifetime follow-up training sessions to help him continue to succeed.
Simba is an energetic boy who still has some enthusiasm on leash and may pull during walks. He'll do best with an active family that is committed to providing him with regular exercise, continued training, and clear, consistent leadership. With structure, routine, and love, Simba has all the makings of an outstanding lifelong companion.
Because of his high prey drive and his history, Simba needs to be the only pet in the home. He does not do well with other animals. His exuberant nature also makes him best suited for a home without young children, although respectful teens may be a good fit.
