JoJo Jane: Foster to Adopt Wanted

Hi there — I just learned that I have heartworms, but don’t worry, GRRA is already stepping in to make sure I get the treatment I need. They’ll cover all of the medical costs to help me heal and get this pesky parasite out of my system.

***I’m looking for an applicant who will care for me while I go through treatment.

If you’re not able to adopt, please consider donating to GRRA. Your support helps pups like me get lifesaving care and gives other dogs a chance at a healthy, happy future.

Thank you for believing in dogs like me! 🐾💛

From the frying pan and into the fire — I was rescued from my breeder situation, but unfortunately, my new home didn’t work out for me either. Thankfully, GRRA stepped in once again and made sure I was safe and cared for.

As part of my vetting, we discovered that I’m heartworm positive, but GRRA is already taking care of my treatment and helping me get back on the road to good health.

We’ve also learned that female dogs aren’t really my cup of tea. I do fine with younger pups, but for now, I’d probably do best as the only dog in the home while I recover and settle in. I’ll also need a calm environment over the next few months, along with a home that has very few stairs — or at least an easy-living setup on one level.

It takes me just a little time to relax and unwind, but once I do, I’m all about cuddle time with my people. I’m also an excellent traveler in the car, so I think some future road trips are definitely in order! And apparently, I love the water, so maybe we can add some lake days or beach trips to our adventures, too.

For now, I’m focusing on healing, resting, and learning that the best chapters are still ahead of me. Then watch out — because in just a few months, I’ll be ready to bring on the fun!
