Bruce Lane: With a Foster to Adopt Applicant

Hi there — I just learned that I have heartworms, but don’t worry, GRRA is already stepping in to make sure I get the treatment I need. They’ll cover all of the medical costs to help me heal and get this pesky parasite out of my system.

I have a caring applicant who will care for me while I go through treatment.

If you’re not able to adopt, please consider donating to GRRA. Your support helps pups like me get lifesaving care and gives other dogs a chance at a healthy, happy future.

Thank you for believing in dogs like me! 🐾💛

I’m one very lucky guy, and I’m so grateful that GRRA stepped in when my family could no longer give me the time and care I needed. Now I’m safe, loved, and getting everything I need — including treatment for heartworms (don’t worry, GRRA is taking great care of me!).

For the next few months, I’m in a calm and quiet home where I can focus on healing. My activity will need to stay limited, and I shouldn’t tackle many stairs while I recover. That can be a little challenging for a young, active pup like me, but I’m ready to do my part! I’ll need some gentle mental enrichment, patience, and lots of companionship to keep my spirits high while my body rests.

The silver lining? This is the perfect time for us to bond. We can work on basic manners, practice leash skills, and build trust together at a relaxed, steady pace. I’m a social guy, too — I’ve done well with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens!

If you’re willing to walk beside me during this healing chapter, I promise it will be worth it. Once I’m fully recovered and cleared for adventure, we’ll have a lifetime of fun, laughter, and tail wags ahead of us. 💛
