Adopting one of our furry friends means not only giving them a loving home, but also giving them the care and attention they need to live a happy and healthy life.

HOW TO ADOPT
Adoption process & application
Thank you for your interest in adopting a Golden Retriever from GRRA. If you are able to provide the special home a rescued Golden Retriever deserves, we hope to be able to match you with the right dog.

Please complete the application form and submit a $25 application fee payment. This fee is non-refundable and all proceeds directly benefit the GRRA rescue dogs.

A GRRA Adoption Consultant will contact you to explain the adoption process and help you determine what dog attributes and personalities are best suited for your home.
​
The Adoption Consultant will also arrange for a GRRA volunteer to visit your home. This home-check step is required by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, which licenses all reputable animal rescues and shelters in Georgia. We will also check your references and veterinarians to see if your current pets are up-to-date on their vaccines. This step helps GRRA determine what type of dog will be the best match for you and your family.

There are three avenues to adopt from GRRA. NOT all the avenues to adopt are suitable for every Applicant, but all dogs brought into our program need forever, loving homes, especially during these challenging times.
