Hi, my name is Major, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you
prospective adopters out there. If you have seen my picture then you
already know that I am one very handsome guy, and you may be
wondering why I haven’t already been snatched up by some very lucky
family.
Well truth be told I lived a very sheltered life before arriving
at GRRA. I didn’t get out much and due to this I can be a bit shy and
reserved when first meeting people. Some people may find this off
putting but if they just give me a chance they would find that I have a
heart of gold.
Since arriving at GRRA I have be fortunate to have been in a wonderful
foster home and to be part of an enhanced boarding program through
GRRA’s Paws for Success. I am currently working with some very
wonderful trainers who are helping me to manage my fear of new
environments and helping me to understand that human touch is a good
thing. You see in my prior life I didn’t get much of it, so it is all new to
me.
I would love a home with a family who is willing to continue to work with
me in conjunction with my trainers on my social and behavioral
development. While I have come a long way there is still work to do.
My new home should be a kid and dog free zone since I am still a bit
fearful of sudden movements and am dog selective due to not ever
being exposed to other dogs in my prior life.
If you have a quiet, single-family home, work from home at least part
time or are retired, with a fenced in back yard, no small kids or dogs
then I am your guy. One of the best things about me is that I
absolutely love, did I say LOVE, to play fetch.
Do you have the time, patience, and love to help me as I shed some of
my old baggage? If you do please know that I will be eternally grateful
and will give you my all. With you by my side I feel like we can make
this a “Major” success.
