Len and Pat Corley have fostered many GRRA dogs over the years. Jordon, a 4 year old big (105 lbs!) golden retriever, has a special place in their hearts. Jordon was adopted at age 4 in March, 2006. The adopters, Betty and Keith Kottwitz, had a 9 year old beagle, Moses, and they were looking for a companion for him. Jordon and Moses met and hit it off. It was a done deal!

The Kottwitz's have kept in touch with the Corley's over the past 3½ years. They send photos and updates detailing funny stories about Jordon and Moses. The Kottwitz's are a retired couple who spend their summers in Alaska, volunteering for the Bureau of Land Management. Jordon and Moses are the lucky dogs who get to spend the summer with them in Alaska! Jordon is known as the resident "camp dog" there because he is such a friendly boy.

As Moses' age has advanced and he has had trouble with the stairs in the house, Jordon became his helpmate. He lets the Kottwitz's know when Moses needs to go out to potty. Talk about a great brother! The adorable picture of Jordon and Moses says it all.

Recently, the Kottwitz's sent the Corley's an email about Jordon and Moses. It reads in part, "I thought I would write a note to you to catch you up on "Big Dog". We still think he is the best dog ever. He has taken on an extra job. Our garden & orchard is really producing, and there are usually pears and apples on the porch so Jordan is guarding those. He found a possum in the garbage can one morning so he is watching very carefully to be sure nothing gets our produce. He takes his nose and pushes the peas and butter beans into a neat pile... He wants to go everywhere with us and usually does. He is so good and is never any trouble...."
