Piedmont Park
Come and join us on Sunday, May 18th, at 12 noon for one of GRRA’s favorite walk/hikes. We will be taking the dogs for a stroll through downtown Piedmont Park.
We
will meet in the gravel parking lot behind the Park Side Tavern (the
entrance is located on Monroe drive, at the corner of Monroe and 10th).
We will head out into the park following the paved lanes past the
Meadow, Lake Clara Meer, Oak Hill, the Front Lawn and the Activities
Center. We will end the walk back at the gravel parking lot
(approximately 1 ¾ miles).
REMEMBER: Piedmont Park’s trails
are out in the open, bring a hat or sunscreen and plenty of water for
you and your four legged family member.
After the walk/hike, join us for a short volunteer meeting and a GRRA
social gathering on the patio of the Park Side Tavern (yes, your dog is
welcome as long as he/she is not driving).
DIRECTIONS:
Traveling South
on I-75/I-85
Exit at 10th - 14th Streets. Go straight through the traffic light
at the end of the ramp, crossing 14th Street. Stay to the left when the
road splits and at the next traffic light, turn left on 10th Street.
Follow 10th street to Monroe Drive and make a left. The gravel Parking
Lot will be on the left by the Park Side Tavern.
Traveling North
on I-75/I-85
Exit at 10th - 14th Streets. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right
on 10th Street. Follow 10th street to Monroe Drive and make a left. The
gravel Parking Lot will be on the left by the Park Side Tavern.
